The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) enables non-corporate, non-farm micro enterprises to access formal institutional credit.

The Three Mudra Loan Tiers:

  1. Shishu: Loans up to ₹50,000 for early-stage startup entrepreneurs and micro-vendors.
  2. Kishore: Loans from ₹50,001 to ₹5,00,000 for acquiring equipment, raw materials, or shop inventory.
  3. Tarun: Loans from ₹5,00,001 to ₹10,00,000 (extended up to ₹20 Lakh for seasoned entrepreneurs) for business expansion.

Mudra loans carry zero processing fees for Shishu/Kishore categories and require no physical collateral.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Common questions about EMI and loan calculations

What is EMI and how is it calculated?

EMI stands for Equated Monthly Installment. It is a fixed payment amount made by a borrower to a lender at a specified date each calendar month using the standard reducing-balance EMI formula.

Does loan prepayment really save interest?

Yes! Prepaying your loan directly reduces your outstanding principal balance, which exponentially lowers the interest calculated for remaining months.

What is FOIR in Loan Eligibility?

FOIR stands for Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio. Most banks limit your total EMIs to 50%-60% of your net monthly income.

Are the calculation results guaranteed by banks?

Calculations on Get A Loan are accurate estimates based on standard mathematical formulas. Actual bank quotes may vary slightly due to processing fees, taxes, or credit score ratings.
